North-east Dublin to wait until tomorrow for news on water notice
Homes and businesses in the north east of Dublin city will not know until tomorrow if their water is safe to drink.
A boil notice was put in place after a contaminated sample of water was taken from a local supply over the weekend.
Up to 1,400 properties are said to be affected, but work is ongoing to make the supply safe.
Brian Hennelly, a senior engineer with Dublin City Council, said they are doing their best to treat the water, but admitted it could be a few days before the water isdeemed safe.
