Coastguard rescue injured French crewman

A crewman onboard a French fishing trawler has been airlifted to hospital, after becoming injured and falling unconscious.

The alarm was raised at around 11pm last night and the Coastguard, along with the Shannon-based helicopter, were tasked to the scene about 140 miles off the south-west coast near Valentia.
