The Taoiseach has said the Government's new stimulus plan will restore confidence in the economy and provide extra work in the construction sector.

The Taoiseach has said the Government's new stimulus plan will restore confidence in the economy and provide extra work in the construction sector.

The €2bn package will be approved by the Cabinet this morning, before being announced at a press conference this afternoon.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
