Adam Clayton's former Personal Assistant Carol Hawkins has been convicted on several counts of using cheques to steal from the U2 bassist.

The jury is currently handing down its verdicts on the 181 counts against the 47-year-old of Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin.

She is accused of using cheques to to draw down €2.8m from her employer's bank accounts between 2004 and 2008.

The verdicts come after five hours of deliberations at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

U2's Adam Clayton is not in court.
