Jury retires in trial of former Clayton PA

The jury is out in the trial of Adam Clayton's former personal assistant Carol Hawkins.

The 47-year-old, of Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin denies using 181 cheques to steal €2.8m from the U2 bassist's bank accounts between 2004 and 2008.

Earlier the prosecution told the jury she had engaged in an "orgy of spending" while the defence described her as being Clayton's "right hand".
