Gardaí arrest five in Limerick double-murder probe

Five people have been arrested in Limerick in connection with the murders of a man and woman in the city earlier this year.

The bodies of Des Kelly and Breda Waters were found at a house in the O'Malley Park area on January 8.

This morning, Gardaí in the city detained two men in their thirties, a teenage boy, a teenage girl and a woman aged in her fifties.

They are being questioned about the double murder at three separate Limerick city Garda stations under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Two men have already been charged in relation to the investigation.
