Significant fall in M50 tailgating
The number of tailgating incidents on the M50 in Dublin is down 83%, research has found.
Figures released by eFlow show that the dangerous practice of motorists driving within inches of HGVs in an attempt to hide their licence plate number from overhead toll cameras is down significantly - five months since rear facing cameras were introduced.
In February, there were more than 12,000 instances of tailgating while last month there were just more than 2,000.
