Advisory group to publish reports on 'ghost estates'
The spotlight will focus on the issue of so-called 'ghost estates' today.
The Advisory Group on Unfinished Housing Developments is due to publish its final report on the matter later this morning.
The document is expected to set out a road map of how the problem should be handled.
Last year a Department of the Environment report showed building had started on 120,000 homes in nearly 3,000 ghost estates around the country.
Of these, 77,000 were occupied, while 33,000 were vacant and up to 10,000 others were in the early stages of construction.
