Four people have been rescued from a fire in Dublin city centre.

Four people have been rescued from a fire in Dublin city centre.

The alarm was raised at 4am today after the blaze broke out in apartments above an 'Eddie Rocket's Diner' in Wexford St.

A number of people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but none of the residents required hospital treatment.

The building has been sealed off for a technical examination.
