A road safety group has said Transport Minister Leo Varadkar told them he hopes to publish a second road traffic bill by the end of this year, in an effort to tie up any loopholes which may exist in the current legislation.

A road safety group has said Transport Minister Leo Varadkar told them he hopes to publish a second road traffic bill by the end of this year, in an effort to tie up any loopholes which may exist in the current legislation.

Last night, the Dáil passed new road safety laws which will make it compulsory for Gardaí to breathalyse drivers involved in any road collision where someone has been injured.
