Woman fights for her life after Dublin stabbing

A woman is fighting for her life after being found with stab wounds at her home in Dublin overnight.

It happened shortly after midnight at a house in Donaghmeade Park, Coolock, north Dublin.

Gardaí arrived to find the 44-year-old being treated by ambulance staff before she was taken to Beaumont Hospital where her condition is described as critical.

The area has been sealed off to allow a Garda technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with information to come forward.
