Man charged with firarms offense

A man has been charged with possession of a firearm and munitions by police investigating dissident republican activity in the North.

He is expected to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning. The charge is subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.

It follows a search in the Twinbrook area by the PSNI Serious Crime Branch in connection with dissident republican activity.
