The jury in the trial of two Dublin brothers accused of murdering a man in Inchicore five years ago, has today been warned to approach evidence given by the victim's family with the "utmost caution".

Warren and Jeffrey Dumbrell from Emmet Place in Inchicore deny the murder of Christy Cawley in October 2006.

In his closing speech to the jury, Warren Dumbrell's lawyer said it was "curious" that the Cawley family, including Christy's wife Janette, were the only witnesses to claim to see his client with a knife.

It is the State's case that Christy Cawley was chased, and stabbed to death by the Dumbrell brothers.
