US firm to create 50 jobs in Athlone

Fifty jobs are to be created in Athlone with the opening of a medical devices manufacturing operation.

American Medical Systems Holdings is to invest €4.6m and is supported by IDA Ireland.

The new facility will make mesh products used in the manufacture of continence products.
