Union wants Aer Lingus row referred to Labour Court

The trade union IMPACT has called for third-party intervention in a bid to resolve the rostering dispute at Aer Lingus.
Ten flights have been cancelled today affecting 1,500 passengers.
These includes return flights between Dublin, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Madrid, Frankfurt and Malaga.
By yesterday, 32 cabin crew had been removed from the payroll for refusing to operate the new rosters and a further 50 are facing the same prospect after being called to meetings with management this morning.
Earlier, the Irish Travel Agents Association called on the Transport Minister Noel Dempsey to have a mediator intervene in the row.
A short time ago, IMPACT, which represents many of the cabin crew involved in the dispute, said it would welcome an LRC referral of the matter to the Labour Court.
