Due to deteriorating road and weather conditions in the east of the country this evening, Bus Éireann tonight said it cannot guarantee services from Dublin after 9pm for safety reasons.

Due to deteriorating road and weather conditions in the east of the country this evening, Bus Éireann tonight said it cannot guarantee services from Dublin after 9pm for safety reasons.

"This is being constantly reviewed in light of rapidly changing road and weather conditions and while Bus Éireann will seek to maintain as many services as possible this evening from Dublin services may have to be curtailed earlier than 9pm," the company said in a statement.

Customers are asked to visit www.transport.ie or www.buseireann.ie or contact their local travel centre for latest information on service changes.

Services effected in the east at the moment include:

100X Dublin-Drogheda-Dundalk – last services from Dublin will be at 18:40 ex Wilton Terrace and 19:00 from Custom House Quay.

Route 30: Dublin/Donegal – 20:00 Dublin/Donegal - cancelled

Route 32: Dublin/Letterkenny –22:45 Dublin/Letterkenny - cancelled

Route 33: Dublin/Derry –19:45 - operating to Monaghan only
