IMF chief: Ireland can manage its own fiscal affairs
The head of the International Monetary Fund has said Ireland can manage its fiscal affairs well.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn made the remarks to reporters at the Asia-Pacific summit in Japan.
He said the IMF would be willing to help Ireland if needed in the future, but said "until now it's business as usual".
His comments come amid conflicting reports of talks about an EU bailout for Ireland.
