Grealish joins protest against health cuts

Up to 350 demonstrators have taken part in a protest against health cuts in Galway.

Up to 350 demonstrators have taken part in a protest against health cuts in Galway.

SIPTU, Impact and the Socialist Workers Party members marched while Galway Fine Gael, Labour and Independent politicians also took part.

Among them was Galway West Deputy Noel Grealish, in his first public action to reinforce his announcement yesterday that he no longer supports the Government.

Fine Gael Galway West Deputy Padraig McCormack said: "The public want the cuts to be made at the top of the health service."
