Former DUP leader Ian Paisley has been elevated to the House of Lords in Westminster.

Former DUP leader Ian Paisley has been elevated to the House of Lords in Westminster.

The former First Minister in the North was one of 50 figures to receive a peerage today.

Mr Paisley stepped down from from the UK House of Commons in March, after a parliamentary career dating back to 1970.
