O'Brien calls on Moriarty Tribunal to publish final report
Businessman Denis O'Brien is calling on the Moriarty Tribunal to call whatever witnesses are needed to complete its public inquiries and to issue a complete final report.
It comes after the Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Moriarty, wrote to the Clerk of the Dáil, Kieran Coughlan, suggesting the issuing of two reports.
One would relate to the awarding of the second mobile phone licence to Esat Digifone in 1996.
The other would deal with the money trail, which involves alleged payments to former Minister Michael Lowry.
In a statement tonight Mr O'Brien said the Moriarty Tribunal has not addressed the question of significant errors made by the inquiry itself in relation to its investigations into the licencing process.
