The state training agency FÁS is today predicting that the number of people employed in five years' time will still be 80,000 behind the pre-recession peak reached in 2008.

A new study published by FÁS and the ESRI forecasts that 50% of workers will be in white collar employment by 2015, and the number of females in employment will exceed pre-recession levels.
