A total ban on visitors has been put in place at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

A total ban on visitors has been put in place at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

The HSE says six cases of the disease have been confirmed in three separate wards and that strict infection control precautions are in place.
