The Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern has said Government legal advice "very strongly" suggests that any member of the gardaí who takes industrial action would be breaking the law.

The Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern has said Government legal advice "very strongly" suggests that any member of the gardaí who takes industrial action would be breaking the law.

Mr Ahern was responding to a GRA survey, in which the majority of particpants said they were in favour of industrial action - other than strikes - in protest over cuts to their pay.
