A pedestrian in his 20s has been killed after he was knocked down in Cork city.

A pedestrian in his 20s has been killed after he was knocked down in Cork city.

The accident happened on the South Link Road at around midnight last night.

Two cars were removed from the scene for examination.

Forensic crash investigators carried out an inspection of the site last night and the road has reopened.

The man's body has been removed for a post mortem.
