Thousands of health workers may strike over cuts

Tens of thousands of health workers were today preparing to take industrial action within weeks over the Government’s public spending cuts.

Trade union Impact confirmed it formally served notice on the Health Service Executive (HSE) that it will start disruption – including a possible walkout – a week from next Monday.
