A paranoid schizophrenic who pleaded guilty to making a death threat to the then-Cork hurling manager Gerald McCarthy has been jailed for a month.

Cork District Court heard that Trevor O'Reilly, with an address at Andersons Quay, was unrepentant over the call that was made at the height of a row over who should manage the county's senior hurling team.
