Hundreds attend funeral of New Zealand toddler
Hundreds of people have attended the funeral of two-year-old Aisling Symes in New Zealand today.
The toddler, whose father is from Co Waterford, disappeared while playing outside her grandparents' home in Auckland last week.
Her body was found a week later in a nearby storm drain.
A post mortem concluded that she had drowned.
During today's public service, her aunt Christine Bartle described Aisling as an affectionate, smiling, happy little girl who always gave lots of cuddles.
Her casket was adorned with the Irish flag, a New Zealand flag, flowers, a photo and a Winnie the Pooh teddy bear.
