Lisbon Treaty: SF launches poster campaign for ‘No’ vote

Sinn Féin has launched its poster campaign calling for a 'No' vote in the re-run of the Lisbon Treaty referendum.

The party says it is outrageous that the Government is using the economic crisis to push the case for a 'Yes' vote on October 2.

It says voters should find out what exactly is in the treaty for workers and what the implications would be for Ireland.

Foreign Affairs Minister Michael Martin, meanwhile, says it is "completely dishonest" for the conservative group Coir to suggest that the minimum wage might fall to €1.84-an-hour if the Lisbon Treaty is passed.

Mr Martin says the minimum wage is set by the Irish Government and will not be determined by the treaty in any way.
