Concern over plans to facilitate rail users

Concern is being expressed that sufficient contingency plans for rail users may not be in place by tomorrow following the collapse of part of the Belfast to Dublin train line.

At least three months of disruptions are expected after part of a viaduct at Malahide collapsed on Friday evening.

Iarnród Éireann has said that shuttle bus services will be operating for the 10,000 commuters who use the line daily.

Mark Gleeson from the Rail Users Group said it is essential the company puts adequate plans in place.
