Trucker's licences held by anyone who was convicted of a serious crime in the past five years will be automatically revoked under new laws set to be introduced next month.

Reports today say criminals convicted of an offence such as drug trafficking, murder, or human trafficking will have to return their road haulage licences to the Department of Transport under the new legislation.
