Boy, 6, killed on his bike

A six-year-old boy was killed today when his pushbike and a car were in collision.

The child was cycling near the Mill Road in Larne, Co Antrim, at the time of the incident.

Police said the collision involving a Honda car happened shortly after midday.

The boy was taken to hospital but died a short time later from his injuries. Investigating officers have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
