Five arrested in connection with Derry murder

Police in the North have arrested five men in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old man in Derry almost a year ago.

Emmet Shiels was shot dead in the Bligh's Lane area of the Creggan last June.

Five men, aged 33, 41, 46, 47 and 49, were arrested in the Creggan, Galliagh and Waterside areas this morning and taken to Antrim for questioning.

They are being held on suspicion of murder and membership of the INLA.
