Man in hospital after sword attack

A man attacked with a sword was recovering in hospital today.

The man, 49, suffered multiple stab wounds during what is believed to have been a domestic dispute.

Gardaí are investigating the incident which happened at Dunsink Drive, Finglas, at about 3.15am.

The man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he remains in a stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the scene has been preserved for a forensic examination.

Officers in the area have appealed for information.
