Govt to face Dáil criticism over social welfare cut

The Government is set to face criticism over its decision to cut the Christmas bonus for social-welfare recipients when the Dáil debates the matter later this week.

The Labour Party is tabling a motion describing the cut as mean-spirited and unfair and calling for it to be reversed.
