Family of Irish man killed in Bolivia 'devastated'
The family of an Irish man killed in Bolivia have issued a statement saying they're shocked and devastated by the tragic death of a beloved son and brother.
Michael Dwyer, aged 25, from Co Tipperary was named by Bolivian police as being one of a group of men allegedly involved in a plot to kill the country's president, Evo Morales.
They claim Mr Dwyer's passport was found following a shoot-out in a hotel in the city of Santa Cruz on Thursday morning.
An official from the Department of Foreign Affairs is in Bolivia.
