SF: Govt must not target the vulnerable in Budget

Sinn Féin has called on the Government not to target vulnerable people in Tuesday's emergency Budget.

The party's Ard Comhairle is meeting in Dublin today, to discuss the Budget, the economy and how to boost job creation.

Deputy President and MEP Mary Lou McDonald said the Government has to stop focusing on cutbacks and try to save jobs instead.

She said struggling businesses and families need support and cannot be the target of Government cuts.
