Major firearms and ammunition seizure in Donegal

Gardaí in Donegal have made a major seizure of firearms and ammunition.

Four pistols, two revolvers, two sawn-off shotguns and a quantity of ammunition were found during a planned search in the Carrigans area yesterday.

Two suspect devices, which were made safe by the Army bomb disposal team, were also found.

The seizures are part of an investigation into serious crime in Donegal.

No arrests were made.
