Complaints to Financial Ombudsman up 28% this year

The number of complaints received by the Financial Services Ombudsman has increased by 28% so far this year.

Joe Meade has today published findings relating to 21 cases brought against insurance companies.

In one case, the insurance company involved has been ordered to pay €325,000 in specified illness cover that it had refused to the claimant.
