Sinn Féin and the DUP appear to be at loggerheads over the deal announced earlier this week to end a long-running dispute over the devolution of policing and justice powers.

DUP politician David Simpson has told a House of Commons committee that there is no commitment in the deal on a deadline for the transfer of such powers.

However, Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness has disagreed, insisting that that "there's a start point and there is an end point" in the deal.
