The jury in the trial of a Galway man accused of raping a neighbouring woman some 30 years ago has retired at the Cenral Criminal Court to begin its deliberations.

The jury in the trial of a Galway man accused of raping a neighbouring woman some 30 years ago has retired at the Central Criminal Court to begin its deliberations.

The 57-year-old accused denies indecently assaulting the woman by a lake in 1971 when she was 11 years old, raping her in a field in 1972 and again at his marital home in 1979.
