The mother of a 16-year-old schoolgirl who alleges her father raped her has told a Central Criminal Court jury that when she confronted the accused, he said he needed to see a doctor to find out why he had done it.

The mother of a 16-year-old schoolgirl who alleges her father raped her has told a Central Criminal Court jury that when she confronted the accused, he said he needed to see a doctor to find out why he had done it.

The witness told prosecuting counsel Isobel Kennedy SC that she found a letter in her daughter's bedroom and it said that she should ask the girl's father if she wanted to know if anyone had been touching her.
