Gardaí treating death of Cork man as murder

Gardaí say they are now treating the death of a 62-year-old man in Cork city over the weekend as murder.

Donal Manley was found dead at his home on High Street on Sunday night after concerns were raised by neighbours.

Mr Manley, who lived alone and was single, had not been seen since Friday last.

He is believed to have suffered serious head injuries and may have been the victim of an assault.
