The Broadcasting Complaints Commission has upheld a complaint made against Gerry Ryan's radio show on RTE's 2fm.
The complaint related to an interview conducted in July during which an author read an excerpt from his book describing his time as a homosexual prostitute.
The complainant said it displayed a complete lack of taste and decency and a total disregard for the protection of any children who may have been listening.
The BCC has also upheld a complaint made about a Veritas advertisement which claimed the ad blatantly promoted the Catholic faith.
A third complaint was also upheld about RTE One's broadcast of the movie Derailed, which included a rape scene and was described by the complainant as vile.
