Gardaí release men held over death of Cork farmer
Gardaí in Co Cork have released the two men arrested yesterday in connection with the death of John Twomey last week.
The pair, one in his 50s and the other in his 20s, were detained in the Bandon area yesterday morning, but were freed last night pending instructions from the DPP.
They were questioned about the death of 65-year-old farmer John Twomey, who died of a heart attack last Tuesday while being taken to hospital in an ambulance.
He and his brother were allegedly assaulted a short time previously as part of a row over a land boundary at Mount Rivers.
