Three still in custody following raids on cannabis houses

Three people remain in garda custody this morning following yesterday's raids on three large-scale cannabis growing operations in Longford and Roscommon.

A large number of plants were found growing under indoor lights during raids on three houses in Castlerea, Strokestown and Drumlish yesterday morning.

Gardaí say they recovered around €500,000 worth of cannabis during the operation.

Two men and a woman are being questioned about the seizure at garda stations in Boyle, Roscommon and Longford.

They are believed to be from Vietnam.
