Houses of Oireachtas open doors for second day
The Houses of the Oireachtas are opening their doors to the public again today.
It is day two of the first ever 'Family Weekend' at Leinster House.
As well as being allowed roam the grounds, members of the public will be treated to live music, circus performances and an organic market.
The Ceann Comhairle John O'Donoghue has said he hopes the Open Days will help to reconnect with public with the political process.
"It really is important that the gates of Leinster House are left open to the Irish public, because we have experienced in recent times a far greater connect between the public, which is a feature of politics across Europe," the Ceann Comhairle said.
