Gardaí step up their Dublin hunt for pub killers
Gardaí investigating what they describe as a "cold blooded and efficient" pub shooting on Dublin City's northside are refusing to speculate on whether the killing is linked to a gangland feud in the area.
The 30-year-old victim was gunned down in a Coolock pub at around 8.30pm last night when two gunmen wearing balaclavas burst into the premises, and singled out their victim who later died in hospital.
The attack happened at the Ardlea Inn in Artane and gardaí are now looking for the public to come forward as they try and piece together the victims final movement's and how the killers got away.
An incident room has been set up at Coolock Garda Station and Superintendent Mark Curran this afternoon briefed reporters on the status of the inquiry.
As the search for witnesses gets underway, CCTV footage from the area is being studied but gardaí don't want to be drawn into the motive behind the attack.
