Govt urged to ban under-10s from using mobile phones
The Government is being urged to ban the use of mobile phones by children under 10.
The Better Environment and Safer Telecommunications group says it's concerned about the high level of use of mobiles by children.
There are now more mobile phones in circulation than there are people living in Ireland.
BEST spokesman Pat O'Donovan says in the absence of Government action, parents should stop their children from using mobile phones until they're older.
