Minorities 'twice as likely to be victims of crime'

Travellers and people from minority ethnic groups are twice as likely to become victims of crime, according to research carried out by the Gardaí.

The research has found that one-third of people from non-Irish ethnic groups have been the subject of a racist incident, but only 13% have reported the matter to the Gardaí.
