Firefighters battle blaze at Ennis hardware store

The Fire Service is battling a major blaze at a hardware store in Ennis, Co Clare, this morning.

The fire on Station Road was reported at around 6am.

Fire crews from Ennis arrived at the scene to find the blaze rapidly spreading and quickly sought assistance from other stations.

Up to eight units of the fire brigade from Ennis, Shannon, Scarriff and Ennistymon are involved in the operation.

Traffic is being diverted away from the scene.
